National Organization

In February, we will be holding our 2027 Board of Directors Elections.  The following positions are up for election: President, Vice President, At-Large North American Director, Eastern District Director, Pacific District Director.  The following candidates have been moved forward and will be on the ballot for 2027:

Voting-eligible members will vote for the Director for their district.  Ballot packages are designed specifically for your district.  Your ballot package will include candidate statements, the No Campaigning Policy, and the ballot.  As we have for the last few years, the ballot will not be published in the magazine.  Candidate statements will also be posted in the members-only section of the website.

All voting-eligible members with an email address on file will be invited to vote electronically through Electionbuddy, a secure online voting system.  Your election invitation should arrive around February 1 and the election will close on March 1.  All voting-eligible members who do not have an email address on file will receive a paper ballot via postal mail.  Your ballot should arrive in late January. Completed paper ballots must be postmarked no later than March 1.  Please take the time to vote, and thank you for being a member of the NMRA.

The NMRA Unveils a Bold New Look for a New Era!

The NMRA is pleased to provide members guidance for the adoption and application of our new brand. You can find further information on how this brand was developed in the January 2026 issue of the NMRA Magazine made available to members from Dec 15 2025 in our NMRA Magazine App.

What this means for National:

• National will change its logo, colors, and fonts on various materials.
• This includes Social Media, the Website, NMRA Magazine, Calendar, Membership Forms, and Rack Cards.
• From January 1st, 2026, the current NMRA.org logo will no longer be authorized for use or wear on NMRA-produced items without permission from the Board of Directors (BOD).

What this means for Regions & Divisions:

• All Regions and Divisions will adopt the NMRA's Brand & Style Guide.
• They will also adopt the new NMRA Logo, which will display the Region's or Division's name alongside the National Brand.

• 2025, November 1st: National Brand Launch (Trainfest in Milwaukee)
• 2025, Q4: Regional Brand Preparation
• 2026, January 1st: Regional Brand Launch

Voting opens soon in the election of At-Large World Wide Director, Atlantic District Director, and Western District Director.

• All members will vote for the At-Large World Wide Director,
• Members in the Atlantic District will also vote for Atlantic District Director, and
• Members in the Western District will also vote for Western District Director.

Members with an email address on file with the NMRA will receive a ballot through email around February 1, 2024. Members without an email address on file will receive a ballot package through the postal service.  Voting closes March 1, 2025.
