2024 National Election Results

Announcing the results of the 2024 NMRA elections. The following have won their elections for a three-year position starting at the summer Board of Directors meeting in Long Beach, California in August.

National Train Show 2024

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the National Model Railroad Association announces that the National Train Show, originally scheduled to take place at the Long Beach Convention Center, August 9-11, 2024, has been relocated to the Westin Hotel.

The Westin Hotel is the site of the SurfLiner 2024 NMRA National Convention, and we believe this convenient and intimate venue will result in a more accommodating and enjoyable experience for all participants.

2024 NMRA Elections

Voting opens soon in the election of President, Vice President, At-Large North American Director, Eastern District Director, and Pacific District Director.

  • All members will vote for the President and Vice President,
  • Members in the United States and members in the Canadian District will also vote for At-Large North American Director,
  • Members in the Eastern District will also vote for Eastern District Director, and
  • Members in the Pacific District will also vote for Pacific District Director.

Members with an email address on file with the NMRA will receive a ballot through email on February 1, 2024. Members without an email address on file will receive a ballot package through the postal service.  Voting closes March 1, 2024.

2023 Central District Director and NMRA Canada Elections

Voting is open in the election of the Canadian District Director, NMRA Canada President, NMRA Canada Vice President, and Central District Director.

  • Members in the Canadian District will vote for Canadian District Director, NMRA Canada President, and NMRA Canada Vice President.
  • Members in the Central District will vote for Central District Director.
  • Members with an email address on file with the NMRA will receive a ballot through email. Members without an email address on file will receive a ballot package through the postal service. Voting closes March 1, 2023.

Notice of 2023 Elections

The following NMRA Board of Directors positions are open for election in 2023:

  1. Central District Director,
  2. Canadian Director, NMRA Canada President, NMRA Canada Vice President, and
  3. Regional Advisory Council (RAC) Director.

The current Central District Director is term limited and therefore is ineligible to be a candidate for this election.  The current Canadian Director, NMRA Canada President, NMRA Canada Vice President and RAC Director are eligible to be a candidate for this election.
