Regional Advisory Council

Jeff has been a member of the NMRA since 2000 and earned his MMR in 2024. He has been involved in leadership at the division level in several divisions and served as President of the Pacific Northwest Region for six years.
He retired from a more than 40-year career in executive management in the Boy Scouts of America and is a CNP (Certified Not-for-Profit Professional). During his professional career he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Boy Scout Councils in Little Rock, Miami, Denver, and Santa Ana, CA as well as other leadership positions in the local council in Dallas and the National Headquarters. He has expertise in not-for-profit business management, board development, and expanding organizational capacity. Professionally he led organizations through organizational cultural change to achieve top level recognition by Charity Navigator and Best Places to Work, among others.
Jeff has also served on the board of directors in leadership capacities in a number of not-for profit organizations including Habitat for Humanity of North Idaho, the Inland Northwest Rail Museum, and Lorica Ministries (a leadership development organization that works with pastors and church lay leadership).
Jeff has a strong appreciation for the positive influence NMRA has brought to our hobby, especially in the areas of standards, product conformity and modeling techniques. But most importantly, he values the friendships made along the way...friendships that would not have occurred without NMRA participation. As RAC Director, his focus is to help regions find ways to enhance the value of NMRA membership through the division and to grow membership.
