  • Gilbert Model Railroad Club: GMRC is a club of railroad enthusiasts who are modeling (HO scale) middle Arizona during the 1955 era. Our layout is located in the basement of the Gilbert Historical Museum (SW corner of Gilbert Rd and Elliot Rd and includes part of the Southern Pacific and the Santa Fe railroads serving Arizona. Key focus areas include Gilbert, AZ and the surrounding area; Phoenix rail yards, passenger service and notable industries; Arizona mines serviced by the Santa Fe and other surrounding communities including, Glendale, Mesa, Tempe, Chandler, etc. The club will host regular operation sessions once the layout is more complete. Additionally, there is an automated display with the trains running through the town of Gilbert as the key diorama. Regular work sessions are held most Tuesday and Thursday nights between 7-10 PM. Club meetings are the second Tuesday of the month at 8PM in the same location. (4-21-10)

  • Rincon Country West Garden Railroad Club : The Rincon Country West Garden Railroad Club is located at the Rincon Country West RV Resort in Tucson, Arizona. The club has been developing the layout, during the winter months, since 2005, as most of our members are "snowbird residents."   • Thunderbird Model Railroad Club: Phoenix, AZ.Phoenix, AZ. Located under the grandstands at the Arizona State Fairgrounds, the club operates the Phoenix Turnbow & Apache HO scale standard gauge railroad and the Mogollon & Western HO scale narrow gauge railroad.   • Yuma Model Railroaders: Yuma, AZ. Presently we have and operating HO Scale modular layout. Members are active in multiple scales other than HO as well. Members are active in the NMRA and enjoy rail fanning in the area. Future plans are to build a permanent display layout and museum style display of the Yuma Region railraods history once the structure is rehabilitated. The Tidewater Southern Railway Historical Society was incorporated in the State of California on August 4, 1992, as a nonprofit public benefit corporation for charitable and public purposes. The Society received 501(c)(3) non-profit, tax-exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service on July 27, 1992, for the purpose of collection, preservation, restoration, and archival, and the maintaining of a museum for exhibiting, of Tidewater Southern Railway artifacts, memorabilia, historical data and information, and railway equipment.
