MRP-1.2A Traction/Overhead, Modules

logo

Below are three drawing of typical traction modules as used by N-CAT. The basic designs may be used in most other scale. Lines depict centerlines of track. Larger scales will use larger radii. Check the SIG for your particular scale.

Module lengths for all scales will be 4', 6', or 8' with 2' allowed as a spacer or transition module.

DRAWINGS COURTESY OF N-CAT. (Drawings not to scale.)

N-scale modules with catenary option. On end modules it is necessary to curve NTRAK's three tracks about 1" toward the front of the module. This provides room for the NCat poles on the outside of the loop and for car overhang. The left hand turnaround loop may be made in reverse to provide a right hand turnaround.

NCat Module Dimensions

Basic module size is 2' x 4' or 2' x 6'. An additional 6" is needed at the rear of end modules to make room for the loop. An additional 6" may be added to the front of any module if needed.
