False Dead Link Errors

Due to the unstable nature of the Internet, you may encounter several errors that appear to be dead links. These errors are always generated by your browser as an error message box. The website is actually there, you just can't access it at the moment.

Below is a brief list of some browser-generated errors. If you receive such errors, don't fill out this form. Just remain calm and keep trying the link. It should eventually work.

True Dead Link Errors

Below is a listing of typical true link errors. If you received one of these errors, continue filling out this form. You have uncovered a true dead link!

404--File/Page/Object Not Found: The major error for dead links. Means that the website does not reside on that service's computer. Either the site has been removed or we have may a typo in our URL. (I try my best to double check URLs for typos, but they can slip in!)

DNS Error: Usually when the domain name (ie www.domain.com) is invalid or no longer exists. However, it is possible that the domain name is valid but just isn't accessible at the moment. Clicking the link later may load the website...or it may not.

Access Forbidden: Pretty self-explanatory. We can no longer access the website.

Password Needed: We won't link to sites that require a password to load the homepage.

True dead link? Please continue filling out form.
